This Privacy Policy explains how Priansi Limited collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website and purchase e-books from us.
We've kept this policy as plain and short as we reasonably can. If anything is unclear, please contact us at support@priansibooks.site and we'll do our best to explain.

For the purposes of UK data protection law — the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 — we are the "controller" of your personal data when you use the Site or purchase from us.
2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of personal data necessary to fulfil your order.
When you place an order
- Your email address (so we can deliver your e-book and confirm your order)
- Payment information (collected and processed by Stripe — we do not see or store your full card details)
- Billing details required by Stripe for fraud prevention and tax purposes (typically name and country)
When you visit the Site
- Standard server logs, including IP address, request times, browser type, and pages requested. These are used solely for security and operational purposes (e.g. detecting attacks, debugging issues).
- Cart contents stored locally in your browser (
localStorage) so the cart works as you browse the site. This is held on your device and is not transmitted to us.
When you contact us
- Whatever information you choose to include in your message (typically your email address and the content of the message).
What we do not use
- Analytics or tracking tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.)
- Advertising or marketing pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, etc.)
- Third-party social media tracking
- Newsletter or marketing email systems
3. How We Use Your Data, and Our Lawful Basis
Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your data. Here is how we use your data and the basis for each use:
| Purpose | Data used | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Fulfilling your order (delivering the e-book, sending the download link) | Email address, order data | Contract performance — Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR |
| Processing payments | Card data via Stripe | Contract performance — Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR |
| Sending order confirmations and refund notices | Email address, order data | Contract performance — Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR |
| Keeping accounting records | Order data | Legal obligation — Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR (UK tax law) |
| Operating and securing the Site (server logs) | IP address, request data | Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR |
| Responding to your enquiries | Whatever you send us | Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR |
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
To run the Site and deliver your orders, we use a small number of trusted third-party service providers (known in data protection law as "processors"). Each of these provides a Data Processing Agreement and processes your data only on our instructions.
| Provider | Purpose | Location | Transfer mechanism |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | US, with EU/UK data centres | UK IDTA + EU SCCs |
| Vercel | Website hosting | US, with EU edge nodes | UK IDTA + EU SCCs |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery | US | UK IDTA + EU SCCs |
| Vercel Blob | E-book file storage | US, with EU regions available | UK IDTA + EU SCCs |
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or transfer it to anyone other than the processors listed above, except where required by law.
5. International Transfers
Some of our processors are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), which all of our processors have in place. These mechanisms are designed to ensure your data receives equivalent protection wherever it is processed.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your data only for as long as we need it:
- Order records (including email address and purchase details): 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required by UK tax law (HMRC retention period). After this, they are deleted.
- Server logs: typically 30 days, as routinely rotated by our hosting provider.
- Email correspondence: retained while it remains relevant, generally up to 2 years from the last interaction, then deleted.
After the relevant retention period, your data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Right to restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (we currently don't, but the right exists if that changes)
- Right to lodge a complaint — with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, email support@priansibooks.site. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain directly to the ICO:
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113
You do not have to contact us first, but we would appreciate the chance to address any concerns directly.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses only strictly necessary technologies, which under UK and EU privacy law do not require your consent:
localStorage: used to remember the contents of your shopping cart while you browse. This data is stored in your browser only — it is not transmitted to us.- No analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking cookies are set by our Site.
When you reach the Stripe checkout page to make payment, Stripe sets its own cookies on its hosted page, which are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
Because we do not use any non-essential cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. If we add anything that would require consent in the future, we will update this policy and add a banner accordingly.
9. Children's Data
The Site and Products are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@priansibooks.site and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption across the Site
- Use of reputable, security-conscious processors (Stripe, Vercel, Resend) with their own enterprise-grade security
- Minimal data collection — we don't store what we don't need
- No storage of payment card data on our infrastructure (handled by Stripe)
No system is fully secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we will notify affected individuals where legally required.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Site, with the "Last updated" date shown at the top. Material changes will be highlighted clearly.
